HARPSICHORDIST
Dutch-Finnish harpsichordist Jasper Koekoek performs actively both as a soloist and as a continuo player with chamber ensembles and orchestras, and has, in his solo repertoire, established himself as an advocate of Dutch and Nordic 17th-18th century repertoire. He holds a Master's degree in Early Music and is now pursuing a doctorate at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki. Koekoek serves as artistic director of the Amore Barocco orchestra, and has worked as an accompanist at the Sibelius Academy for a year. He and his ensembles have received generous support for their artistic endeavours from e.g. the Arts Promotion Centre Finland, the Finnish Cultural Foundation, the Helander Foundation and the European Union. Koekoek teaches and serves as accompanist at the Nurmijärvi Music Institute. His former professors include the distinguished DMus harpsichordists Assi Karttunen, Annamari Pölhö, Elina Mustonen and Matias Häkkinen, and he has additionally had tuition from e.g. Corina Marti, Christophe Rousset and Francesco Corti.
Alankomaalais-suomalainen cembalisti Jasper Koekoek esiintyy aktiivisesti soolocembalistina ja continuosoittajana kamariyhtyeissä ja orkestereissa ja on solistina profiloitunut alankomaalaisen ja pohjoismaisen 1600-1700-lukujen ohjelmiston esittäjänä. Hän valmistui musiikin maisteriksi toisen kerran 2025 ja suorittaa nyt taiteellista tohtoritutkintoa Taideyliopiston Sibelius-Akatemiassa. Hän toimii Amore Barocco -orkesterin taiteellisena johtajana ja on työskennellyt Taideyliopiston Sibelius-Akatemiassa säestäjänä vuoden ajan. Hänen ja hänen yhtyeidensä taiteellista toimintaa ovat avokätisesti tukeneet muun muassa Taiteen edistämiskeskus, Suomen Kulttuurirahasto, Helanderin säätiö ja Euroopan unioni. Koekoek toimii cembalo- ja pianopedagogina sekä säestäjänä Nurmijärven musiikkiopistossa. Häntä ovat kouluttaneet cembalistit Assi Karttunen, Annamari Pölhö, Elina Mustonen ja Matias Häkkinen ja tilapäisesti niin ikään Corina Marti, Christophe Rousset ja Francesco Corti.
